The United Soybean Board (USB) is led by a 64-member board of farmer-leaders acting on behalf of the 680,000 U.S. soybean farmers. The checkoff invests in research, promotion, marketing and commercialization programs to help expand and develop markets for U.S. soybeans. As part of the checkoff program, every soybean farmer contributes 0.5 percent of the market price for each bushel sold.
